What We Do
Meal for ₹5
Since 2019, Abol Tabol has been the first in West Bengal to deliver meals with dignity for just ₹5. Initially self-funded, this initiative has grown with the support of many individuals who choose to distribute meals through us on their loved ones' birthdays or death anniversaries. On such occasions, meals are provided completely free of cost. This is our most popular, long-standing, and compassionate program — where every plate carries not just food, but a heartfelt sense of love.
Wedding Gift
This special project brings smiles of relief to underprivileged parents. Under this initiative, a bride receives a beautiful saree, blouse, and other garments for her wedding, while the groom is gifted a dhoti along with two sacks of premium rice. This gift is not just clothing — it’s an effort to ease a helpless father's burden, offering a ray of hope to a family on their daughter's wedding day.
Festival Gift
This program, close to our hearts, is dedicated to Bengal’s grandest festival — Durga Puja. At the onset of Debipaksha, the initiative begins by distributing new clothes to over 200 dhakis (traditional drummers) and their families. Later, around 3,000–3,500 people from the Dhupguri block — from children to the elderly — receive new clothes so everyone can join in the festive joy. The smile that lights up their faces upon receiving new clothes is priceless — a feeling beyond words. We express our heartfelt gratitude and respect to all those from across the world who have extended a hand of empathy.
Emergency Relief & Health Assistance
During the Covid-19 pandemic, we tirelessly provided food and medicine to countless people. We even arranged oxygen when needed — a service that still continues. In times of storms or floods, we deliver new clothes, baby food, meals, and educational supplies to those affected, making this one of our most vital responsibilities.
Special Programs for Children
On Children's Day, we try to make at least one day special for street children — by giving them haircuts, new clothes, and hearty meals. Bringing a smile to a child's face through this initiative is something very close to our hearts.
Seasonal Humanitarian Initiatives
In the scorching summer, we offer lassi to the common people visiting markets to provide some relief. Based on the changing weather and seasons, we implement various humanitarian programs — and that continuity is what inspires our journey ahead.

Our aim is not vast or ambitious; we simply wish to ensure that everyone can wear new clothes during festivals. We don’t want to see a father, burdened by the responsibilities of his daughter’s wedding. We want to live in a world where no one remains hungry before our eyes. With these small yet meaningful goals, the journey of “Abol Tabol” continues.
